Swap FAQ

Fees, bridge reliability, and what to do when a swap does not go through.

What do I pay when I swap across chains?

Three costs, always shown before you sign: the network (gas) fee on the chain you send from, the bridge fee charged by the route that moves your tokens, and price slippage — the small difference between the quoted amount and what actually arrives.

The quote shows the guaranteed minimum you will receive. If the market moves past that, the swap reverts instead of giving you less.

Why is the fee different every time?

Gas depends on how busy the chain is at that second, and the bridge fee depends on which route is cheapest right then. Quoting again a minute later can give a better or worse price.

Small amounts feel expensive because gas is a flat cost, not a percentage. Larger swaps carry the same gas cost.

How reliable are the bridges?

Routes come from an aggregator that only offers established bridges, and it picks by price, speed and success rate. Most transfers land in a few minutes.

Once the source transaction is confirmed, your funds are with the bridge and it keeps working until the destination transfer completes. Congestion on the destination chain is the usual reason for a delay.

How long should I wait?

Same-chain swaps land in seconds. Cross-chain usually takes 2–15 minutes; the estimate is on the quote.

The swap page keeps checking and shows the destination transaction link as soon as the tokens arrive. You can close the page — the transfer continues without it.

My swap failed. What now?

A failed source transaction means nothing left your wallet except the gas. Common causes: not enough coin left for gas, the price moved past your slippage limit, or the token approval was never confirmed.

Fix it by keeping a little native coin for gas, raising slippage slightly on volatile tokens, and confirming the approval step before the swap step.

The source went through but nothing arrived.

First check the destination transaction link on the swap page — the tokens may already be there under a different token entry.

If your wallet does not list the token, add it by contract address; the balance is on-chain either way.

If more than an hour passes with no destination transaction, send us the source transaction hash and we will trace the route for you.

How do I read a swap transaction?

The hash is the receipt. Open it in the explorer for that chain to see status, the block it landed in, the sending and receiving addresses, and the exact token amounts transferred.

A cross-chain swap has two hashes: one on the chain you sent from, one on the chain you received on.

How do I stay safe?

Start with a small test amount on a new route. Check the receiving address is yours. Never share your seed phrase or password — no one here will ever ask for it.
